PANITANKI, India, Sept 29: Indian civil society leaders on Tuesday expressed concerns over demonstrations that are being staged against the economic blockade imposed by India against Nepal.
"It is difficult for us to understand our government's motive and what message it wants to convey to the world," said Rajesh Sinha, a civil society leader at Naksalbadi.

"We are familiar with the current anti-Indian activities in Nepal. Such activities are not good for India," said he. Manoj Bogati, writer and journalist based in Darjeeling, said that India, which claims to be the most democratic country in the world, should not interfere in other country's internal matters.
"Border blockade is favorable for Modi government," Bogati added. Another Indian writer Raja Puniyani, who writes in Nepali language, also stood against the Indian interference in Nepal.
"It is not appropriate for India to suggest what to include in Nepal's constitution." said Binay Ganguli, a Bengali author. "India should not create troubles in Nepal by interfering in the country's internal affairs," he added.
