According to a press statement issued by the Public Relations Directorate of the Nepal Army (NA) on Sunday, Singh will take part in a wreath laying ceremony at Bir Smarak at the NA Pavilion in Tundikhel and hold a meeting with Gurung on the first day of his visit.
Singh will inspect the Birendra Peacekeeping Training Center at Panchkhal and hold separate meetings with President Dr Ram Baran Yadav and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai the next day.
President Yadav will confer the title of honorary general of NA on Singh amid a ceremony at Shital Niwas the same day. Both the countries have been maintaining the tradition of honoring each other´s army chiefs with the title since 1950.
Singh will visit the Mountain Warfare Training Center in Mustang and the Indian Army Pension Center and NA Western Divisional Headquarters in Pokhara on Thursday, the statement said.
He is scheduled to visit the birth place of Lord Buddha in Lumbini and also address the 19 command and staff course cadets on Friday. Singh will fly back to New Delhi on Saturday.
