KATHMANDU, August 2: Hindu devotees across the country are observing the Naag Panchami festival today.
On this day, Hindus paste an impression of the Naag (serpent deity) on the main door of the house and offer worship. The Naag is considered the god of rain and water. It is believed that the house where the Naag deity resides is bestowed with wealth and prosperity.
