KATHMANDU, Sept 15: Various protests and demonstrations across the country are being organized today in order to create pressure on the government to book the culprit who brutally raped and murdered Nirmala Panta of Kanchanpur.
In Kathmandu, the demonstration will begin from Maitighar Mandala at 1 pm and march past Babarmahal and Bijulibazar before converging into a gathering at New Baneshwar.
Most of the demonstrations across the country including the ones in Pokhara, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Birgunj, and Saptari are going to be held at 1 pm.
It has been 51 days since the girl was found dead after a rape and still, the government fails to hold the culprit.
