KATHMANDU, June 20: Chairman of the UCPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday said the present political deadlock will end if the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML implement the three-point agreement signed on May 28.

Talking to reporters after attending a function, he said his party is closely watching how NC and UML act on implementing the agreement.[break]

“Lack of honesty and morality in politics will invite a big crisis in the country,” he warned.

Stating that the Maoist party is not bent on power, Prachanda said his party, as the largest party in the CA, should lead a consensus government without any condition.

“Informal talks are being held with other parties. If consensus is formed in any one of the contentious issues, formal talks will start,” he said, adding that the politburo meeting of his party is seriously discussing the political way-outs.
