“CAN has done all the preparation and they have undertook extensive work to prepare all venues for the event,” Andrew Faichney, the ICC Tournament Director, said during a press conference. “We are very happy to be in Kathmandu to start and we believe it would be a fantastic event.”[break]
Faichney said he had visited all venues and is satisfied with all arrangements including the security. “I believe there should be no problem with security,” he said.
CAN president Binaya Raj Pandey said they have added security measures especially to stop fans from invading the pitch after the game.
The event is scheduled to start on Saturday.
