Mishra clarified that he is rooting for monarchy not because he loved the king or because he would get something. While arguing that a false narrative of progress and regression has been established in the country, he expressed commitment to play a strong role that the people would be proud of if they chose to send him to parliament as their representative.
Mishra, who joined RPP as Senior Vice President on Wednesday, had already made preparations to contest from Kathmandu-1. He formally announced his candidacy after the top leadership of RPP also agreed to his request.
