HUMLA, Feb 6: More than 360 people of Syada village of Simkot rural municipality have been suffering from seasonal flu and viral fever.
Senior assistant health worker at Syada Health Post, Arjun Karki, said that out of 365 people suffering from seasonal flu and viral fever, condition of five is critical.
Cases of seasonal flu on the rise
Karki said, "Problem has surfaced as there is lack of sufficient medicine and capable health workers at the health post." Syada village lies around 12.5 kilometers away from the district headquarters, Simkot.
Locals blamed that bodies concerned for not paying any attention to control the seasonal flue and viral fever. A local Nurbu Budha said that the seasonal flu and viral fever might take epidemic form if the patients do not get treatment on time and initiative would not be taken to control the disease.
A total of 14 people of different rural municipalities of the district have lost their lives due to seasonal flue this year.
