POKHARA, Jan 10: Hoteliers and Maoist-affiliated labor union are all set to sit for dialogue after the agitating union reopened the Pokhara-based tourism related different organizations that were padlocked for the last four days.

Workers are on strike for pressing to the hotel and restaurant management to apply the government-set remunerations of Rs 4,600 per month, bringing the hotel and restaurant business in the tourist town to a standstill.

However, the closed local hotels and restaurants have not re-opened so far. “We have made an environment for talks by reopening the padlocked organizations. We are ready to sit for dialogue once the hoteliers call us for the negotiation,” said Rajendra Timilsina, president of Maoist labor union, Pokhara chapter.
