KATHMANDU, June 28: The budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2080/081 BS was passed by a majority of lawmakers in a meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Wednesday. Speaker Devraj Ghimire announced that the budget was passed by a majority.
The second meeting of the HoR held on Wednesday proposed that the budget presented by the Finance Minister Prakash Saran Mahat be passed.

Among the 255 MPs present during the voting, 147 voted in favor of the budget, while 108 MPs voted against it.
