KATHMANDU, Jan 31: Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has suspended Senior Superintendent of Nepal Police Saurabh Rana on the charge of sexually abusing a woman.
The ministry decided to suspend Rana for further investigation on Thursday after the woman accused him of sexual misconduct. Rana is currently working at Federal Police Unit, Dharan.

MoHA spokesperson Kedarnath Sharma confirmed that Rana has been accused of sexually abusing the woman in Dharan.
"We have already directed the Nepal Police Headquarters to carry out further probe into the case," Sharma told Republica Online on Friday afternoon.
The woman recently met Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa and Home Secretary Prem Kumar Rai and complained that she was sexually abused by Rana in November. However, Rana has been refuting the allegations.
