Home Minister Khand to fill in as acting PM

KATHMANDU, Oct 29: Minister for Home Affairs, Bal Krishna Khand has been designated as the acting prime minister while PM Sher Bahadur Deuba remains away for six days.

KATHMANDU, Oct 29: Minister for Home Affairs, Bal Krishna Khand has been designated as the acting prime minister while PM Sher Bahadur Deuba remains away for six days.


Leading a 20-member delegation, Prime Minister Deuba left for the United Kingdom to attend the World Leaders Summit of the 26th Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 26).

PM Deuba will return to Nepal on November 4.


Khand remains in the highest position from the Nepali Congress party after PM Deuba. A letter regarding the decision has been sent to the Office of the President for implementation.
