DPM Gachchhadar provided a check of Rs. 100,000 each to the members of victim families amidst a function.[break]
Tek Bahadur Pradhan and Dhruba Mani Pradhan of Samalbung-1, Rajiv Pradhan and Sani Gupta of Phikkal, Ilam and Nima Tamang of Samlakhu, Taplejung got the checks as relief.
Distributing the amount, DPM Gachchhadar said Nepal was prone to natural disaster where thousand people die every year in such disasters. He extended condolences to the bereaved family members.
He informed that the amount was provided through Nepal Government Central Natural Disaster and Rescue Committee.
On the occasion, DPM Gachchhadar said government would not leave any stone unturned for the relief to the victims´ families and treatment to those injured in the disasters.
A total of 14 persons, including seven Indian nationals, died in the landslide last Sunday.
