Directing the security agencies to achieve result-oriented outcomes in revenue collection and smuggling control, he stated that those who fail to control smuggling will be evaluated accordingly and penalized.

"Cross-border crimes are happening, and smuggling is rampant, leading to revenue evasion," the home minister said. "I don't want to hear such complaints after the meeting ends."

Home Minister Lekhak stated that cybercrime has also increased in recent times and directed the security agencies to control such crimes as well.

He emphasized that peace and security must be strengthened to protect the constitution and reinforce democracy. Stating that the guarantee of people's fundamental rights is a prerequisite for democracy, he urged the security agencies to maintain peace and security, as any disruption in peace and security would lead to the violation of the people’s fundamental rights.

"The law does not discriminate against anyone; it is equal for all. Therefore, it is the duty of every citizen to follow the laws, rules and regulations," said Lekhak.

The workshop, which will run throughout the day on Tuesday, has the participation of the chief district officers, police chiefs, Armed Police Force chiefs, and Battalion and Unit Chiefs of the Nepal Army from 12 districts of Lumbini Province.
