Koirala has left for Bandipur, Tanahun, to attend a programme organized by the Nepal Press Union, a NC affiliated journalists´ organization.
Presence of top leaders of all four political powers—UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN (UML) and Madhesi Morcha- is urgent to take a decision on crucial political issues.
Major political parties are seriously divided in the contents of the ordinance proposed by the EC.
The parties are still divided over the size of the CA, minimum votes needed to represent in the CA under the proportional electoral system, right to contest the elections to those persons charged with criminal cases, and others.
Similarly, the major political parties are also divided on the early CA polls date declaration.
The UCPN (Maoist) and Madhesi Morcha are in favor of early polls date announcement while NC and UML have stressed for resolving the thorny issues before declaring the polls date.
After the meeting, UCPN (Maoist) General Secretary Posta Bahadur Bogati said no achievement was made in today´s meeting in absence of NC chief Koirala.
Likewise, NC Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel said the next meeting of the HLPC to be held on Wednesday would reach a conclusion.
Bogati said the CA election date should be announced within three days to hold the election by mid-December.
