SINDHUPALCHOWK, August 9: The Sipaghat-Melamchi section of the Helambu roadway has been disrupted due to incessant rainfall causing landslides.
The Area Police Office Melamchi said that the landslides occurred at various spots along the roadway. Heavy equipment has been mobilized to remove debris and repair the damaged road.

Sujan Dulal, Disaster Resource person at Melamchi Municipality said that the vehicular movement will resume soon after the repair.
Due to landslides triggered by the rainfall, the Helambu bus service has not been operative regularly since Saturday morning.
