Health post in Darchula inaugurated

The Government of India inaugurated the Earcoat Health Post Buildingin Naugad Rural Municipality, Darchula, with its financial assistance under the Nepal-India Development Cooperation.

KATHMANDU, Feb 8: The Government of India inaugurated the Earcoat Health Post Building in Naugad Rural Municipality, Darchula, with its financial assistance under the Nepal-India Development Cooperation.


According to a press release issued by the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, Daljeet Singh Dhami, Chairman of Naugad Rural Municipality, and Shri Avinash Kumar Singh, Counsellor at the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, jointly inaugurated the project, built at  Rs 25.36 million. Local political leaders, government officials, and social workers attended the inauguration.

The statement reads, “The health post building, part of the High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP), aims to improve healthcare facilities for locals in remote areas. The project is set to benefit over 15,000 people by enhancing healthcare services and contributing to the overall development of the health sector in Nepal’s far-western region.”


Local stakeholders and officials expressed gratitude for India’s continuous support, emphasizing the positive impact on regional development. The initiative highlights the ongoing partnership between India and Nepal, focusing on infrastructure improvement to enhance the quality of life for Nepalese citizens, as said in the statement.
