Gupta, who has worked with different hotels in the US in the past two decades, said he has taken it an opportunity to serve in Nepal. [break]
"I think it´s too early to say anything on what new changes I´ll be bringing at Soaltee because it´s just been a few days that I´m here," Gupta said after being appointed on February 24. He further added that his predecessor Greesh Bindra has done a remarkable job during his two years´ tenure as a general manager.
"While the world is going through a major economic recession, hotel industry has been affected largely. Honestly speaking, I think twice about the consequences and challenges I´ll have to face before joining Soaltee," he said, adding, "What motivated me the most was the community support hotels have in Nepal. Back in the US, hotels hardly have any such supports."
Gupta is soon heading to the hotel´s headquarter in Singapore to understand better about the whole work cycle and to implement new ideas to make Soaltee offer better packages to its clients. He also explained that Soaltee will do no less to actively participate in Nepal Tourism Year 2011 campaign.
"Soaltee will offer better things and new packages to ensure that Nepal´s tourism year provides the best hospitality to our foreign guests," he added.
