Great Himalayan chased 119-runs target losing five wickets in 16.1 overs at the Tribhuvan University Ground in Kirtipur, with Prakash Bista scoring highest 32 runs and Rupesh Shrivastav remaining not out for 26 runs. Prakash faced 24 balls and smashed seven boundaries, while Rupesh cracked three fours off 25 balls. Other batsmen failed to reach double figures.
Basanta Khatri claimed three wickets and Shah Alam took two wickets for New Vision. New Vision's bowlers gave away 34 extra runs.
Earlier, winning the toss and opting to bat first, New Vision put up 118/9 in allotted 20 overs with five batsmen contributing in double digits. However, their contribution was not enough for the team.
Lokesh Regmi scored highest 22 runs off 19 balls, while Man Bahadur Thapa added 21 runs facing 19 balls. Lokesh hit a six and a four, while Man smashed four boundaries.
Dhan Bahadur Karki (18), Sabin Shakya (13) and Prashant Bista (11) were other batsmen to reach double figures.
Great Himalayan's Bishal Babu Adhikari picked three wickets, while Ashish Pokhrel claimed two wickets. Arpan Kunwar, Rupesh and Prakash claimed a wicket each.
On Wednesday, KCTC will face Pentagon College and Pulchowk Engineering College will meet TU Campus at the same ground.
