KATHMANDU, Nov 28: Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security, Krishna Kumar Shrestha has said that the government is in the process to introduce a program to ensure reintegration of those returning home from abroad in society.
During a meeting with the stakeholders on Friday as a part of the preparation for the meeting of the Nepal-Qatar Joint Working Committee on Bilateral Labor Agreement to be held in the capital on December 2 and 3, Minister Shrestha said that the reintegration plan was a priority for the government to ensure a labor market for those returning from abroad.

While stressing the need for ensuring that Nepali people do not miss out on opportunities for employment in the Qatar police, Shrestha said that decentralization of training centers, management of work related to Qatar Visa Center, justice as well as rescue of the laborers, who sustain injuries and other problems, should be ensured. He said that the establishment of a rescue mechanism was inevitable.
The discussion program was attended by senior officials at the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security as well as foreign labor experts and foreign employment entrepreneurs. According to the information given in the discussion program, more than 350,000 Nepali people are currently working in Qatar.
