Police took Niharika under control and admitted her at Teaching Hospital for treatment after she attempted self-immolation by pouring petrol on her body in front of the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas on August 12.
The Law Minister shared that on the behalf of the government he asked Niharika to end the hunger strike as there is no meaning of staging the hunger-strike at a time when there is a way to knock at the door of the high court if she is not satisfied with the verdict of district court. The government is serious towards the demands of Niharika, he added.
