KATHMANDU, May 27: The Cabinet transferred eight special class secretaries serving in various government bodies during a meeting held Monday evening at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar.

A source at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers said the government transferred Secretary Hari Prasad Mainali from the administrative division of the Ministry of Health and Population to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation. It appointed Dilliram Sharma, Secretary at the Public Service Commission, to replace him in the administrative division of the Health Ministry.

The Ministry of Culture had remained without a secretary since Binod Prakash Singh retired on May 8.
