KATHMANDU, Feb 18: The government is set to sell development bonds worth Rs 10 billion again for the purpose of raising internal debt.
The Public Debt Management Office issued a notice on Tuesday regarding the sale of development bonds worth Rs 10 billion. The notice states that those who wish to purchase the bonds can bid until 3 pm on February 20.
NRB selling development bonds worth Rs 15 billion

The bonds can be purchased by banks and financial institutions, non-bank financial institutions, insurance companies, corporate bodies and Nepali citizens. The interest rate of the bonds will be determined through a bidding system.
According to the office, the bond issuance will take place on February 21. The bond, named Development Bond 2090, will mature in nine years. This bond can be used as collateral to obtain a loan, and the interest on the bond will be paid semi-annually.
