POKHARA, May 27: Saturday marked the 100th day of formation of the Province 4 government. When the provincial government was formed, the residents were clearly enthusiastic and hopeful of progress and development. Much of their expectations, however, have diminished within the first 100 days. Slow pace of administrative works and failure to deliver the promises into action were some of the reasons leading to the disappointments.
“The provincial government is in confusion because the central government has not given them their full rights. In this way, the provincial government's first 100 days were spent in confusion,” Kapil Mani Dahal, professor of political science at Prithivi Narayan Campus. Furthermore, he said that Province 4 government has failed to select the name of the province and introduce provincial laws and policies. “The ministers in the provincial government only took steps to ensure facilities for themselves,” said Dahal.

Another political analyst Surendra Thapa Magar said the provincial government failed to set path for prosperity. “First of all, provincial ministers delayed taking advice from experts. Furthermore, the experts also failed to give the right suggestions,” he said.
Aananda Raj Mulki, former chairman of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries, shared that the provincial government has failed to understand its own importance.
