Govt-owned STC and FMTCL will be at service to supply food for one week of strict prohibitory orders: DAO, Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, May 27: The state-own entities Salt Trading Corporation (STC) and Food Management and Trading Company Limited (FMTCL) will be providing mobile services to those who want food items during the strict prohibition period to start from Friday, said the District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu.

KATHMANDU, May 27: The state-own entities Salt Trading Corporation (STC) and Food Management and Trading Company Limited (FMTCL) will be providing mobile services to those who want food items during the strict prohibition period to start from Friday, said the District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu.


Issuing a press statement on Thursday, the DAO said the two public enterprises have been assigned the work for door-to-door service to sell the required edibles. Through providing the contact number of the designated officers of these public entities, the DAO has urged the people to contact the officials concerned for the service.

The DAOs in the Kathmandu Valley have decided to shut down grocery and food shops for a week, claiming that the crowd of people at shops has further spread the infection of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.
