KATHMANDU, May 28: The government has introduced a green tax on petroleum products and coal.
Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun made this announcement while presenting the budget for the next fiscal year 2024/25 in the joint session of the Federal Parliament on Tuesday.
"In line with the international commitment to reduce carbon emissions, a green tax on the import of petroleum products and coal has been imposed," said Finance Minister Pun.
