KATHMANDU, July 26: The government and Dr Govinda KC have agreed on the disputed points that had halted on the agreement on Thursday afternoon and have sealed 22-point deal.
According to the agreement, the government will not grant permission to open new medical colleges in the valley for the next 10 years. Similarly, the government will monitor the existing medical colleges regarding their infrastructures. If they fail to fulfill the criteria and wanted to sell it then the government would buy them. Likewise, if the medical wants to shift outside the valley, the government would assist with the process.

According to Dr Surendra Rajbhandari agreement, the government would introduce an amendment proposal bill the parliament and added that it might take few days for the formal process. He added that the agreement is a win-win accord for both sides.
Following the agreement, Dr KC has ended his 27-day long hunger strike by drinking juice from Kedar Bhakta Mathema and former speaker Subash Nembang. Leader Nembang speaking with the journalist has said that PM KP Sharma Oli is committed in implementing the agreement and has believed that no one would need to start a hunger strike again.
