KATHMANDU, May 6: Government has decided to extend nationwide lockdown till May 18.
A Cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister's Office in Baluwatar took a decision to this effect. The ongoing lockdown which was first enforced on March 24 to stop the spread of COVID-19 was coming to an end on Thursday midnight, May 7.

The meeting also decided to suspend international flights and cross-border movement with the neighboring countries India and China till May 31.
In a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus, the government will tighten people's movement into Kathmandu Valley. Despite ongoing lockdown, thousands of people are entering into Valley from various parts of the country.
