KATHMANDU, Aug 11: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the government was effortful to resolve the challenges seen in the nursing sector.
Addressing a programme organized in the capital on Friday on the occasion of Health Minister Mohan Bahadur Basnet completing 100 days of assuming office, Prime Minister Dahal shared that challenges seen in the nursing service are like a litmus test for the government.
He expressed commitment that he is determined to make improvements in the nursing service and carry out activities to make people feel the change.

The prime minister said the issues related to health, employment and food security have been mentioned as fundamental rights in the constitution. He added that it is important to see if the people have been enjoying those fundamental rights in their practical life or not.
The government was actively involved in implementing the fundamental rights in practice and to provide easy and smooth service to the general people, he added.
PM Dahal shared, "People's life expectancy is increasing. It is important whether or not the people get facilities as envisioned by the constitution. The government is effortful to provide those facilities."
In another context, he mentioned that the process to rectify some weaknesses of the federal education act has already started. The prime minister praised Health Minister Basnet for forwarding activities with a determination of doing something in the health sector.
He also assured of providing an additional budget to the health sector in the coming days and said the government will not let the budget crunch hamper this sector .
