KATHMANDU, Nov 28: Kishor Dutta Baral has been elected as the district president of Nepali Congress, Kaski.

After no candidate got 51 percent of the votes in the first round, Baral was elected as the president after defeating another candidate Sudip Mohan Bhattarai by 80 votes in the second round. In the second phase of the election, Baral got 995 votes out of a total of 1,926 votes while Bhattarai got 915 votes.
