KATHMANDU, March 29: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that security challenges have increased due to the geopolitical location of the country and the increase in the strategic strength of powerful nations.
At the closing ceremony of the national security training on Tuesday, he said that border disputes, climate change, global economic recession and its effects are also security challenges

He said that politics, economy, diplomacy, communication and military power should be equipped with appropriate policies and resources to counter and solve the challenges. He also said that Nepalis are capable of facing the challenges head on.
"In the changed situation, it is very important to correctly assess, study and analyze the national security policy," Prime Minister Dahal said, adding, "Our priority and analysis should focus on the multifaceted aspects of the security threat and the efficiency of its solution." He has also requested the military authorities to take necessary steps in this regard.
He said that national security is the comprehensive security of all other aspects including political, social, economic and geographical.
