BUTWAL, March 18: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that whether the current ruling coalition will remain intact in the upcoming election will depend on the behavior of the Nepali Congress (NC). Speaking at a press conference organized in Butwal on Thursday, Chairman Dahal said the future of the coalition will be determined by the behavior of NC although there are no talks of a coalition with the CPN-UML.

Responding to a query regarding the possibility of an alliance with UML, Dahal said “Although there is no sign of an alliance with the UML at the moment, nothing is impossible in politics.” He expressed the view that the alliance could be affected as some extremist leaders of the NC were saying that there would be no electoral alliance under any circumstances in the upcoming election. He also said that the NC President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is in favor of keeping the alliance and expressed his belief that a coalition with UML will not happen.
