JANAKPURDHAM, Dec 28: A fugitive on the run for the last five years after being sentenced to life in a murder-robbery case, has been arrested. The 56-year-old fugitive, Mohammad Ibrahim Miya of Kalyanpur Municipality-12 in Belha, Siraha, was successfully apprehended by the police.
On January 2, 2019, the Janakpur Rajbiraj High Court sentenced Miya to 20 years, equivalent to life imprisonment, in connection with a murder-robbery case. Acting on confidential information, Miya was arrested on Tuesday in Siraha Municipality-7 and subsequently presented to the district court on Wednesday.

The Siraha District Police Office reported that Miya has been incarcerated to serve his sentence as per the court's directive.
