KATHMANDU, Nov 24: A total of 25 fringe political parties representing in the Parliament today drew the attention of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal towards what they called their exclusion from any political decision-making like the formulation of new laws.

Leaders of the parties who met with PM Dahal at latter's residence in Baluwatar also submitted a memorandum to the PM, accusing the government of making different provisions for big and small political parties in the name of electoral threshold system.

They also drew the attention of PM Dahal to the Bill to amend and integrate laws related to political parties-2073 and the Bill to provide perks and facilities to office bearers of federal parliament-2073.

They were forced to call the attention of PM Dahal to the matter as they were excluded from the discussions of the bill to amend and integrate laws related to political parties by the Business Advisory Committee, said former minister and lawmaker Prem Bahadur Singh.

Likewise, they also claimed that some fringe political parties have been discriminated against in relation to the office bearers of federal parliament, calling for correction.

In response, PM Dahal said the government is concerned over their demands and would take steps in this regard after consulting with other political parties on the matter, said PM's press advisor Gobinda Acharya. RSS
