KATHMANDU, Feb 17: Fourth master plan is to be introduced to develop Pashupati area as tourism and religious site.
Pashupati Study Center to be established in Pashupati area
At a program organized here on Thursday, it was shared that the fourth master plan is going to be formulated to draw a conclusion regarding what types of physical infrastructures should be developed in the open spaces in the areas. On the occasion, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and Chairman of Pashupati Area Development Trust, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi, said that Pashupati area should be developed as an open museum.
Minister Shahi said, "There will be significant contribution in tourism development of Nepal if Pashupati area can be made a centre of attraction for foreigners and non-Hindus by developing it as a study and religious site."
He further said that there would be contribution in national economy if Pashupati area is developed as an open museum.
Similarly, State Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya, stressed the need of consulting with concerned experts inn course of formulating the master plan.
Likewise, Member-Secretary of PADT, Dr Govinda Tandon, and Treasurer Tharanath Subedi also expressed their views. RSS
