KAWASOTI, June 24: It was found that four white-rumped vultures (Dangar Giddha) died due to poisonous food at Kawasoti of Nawalparasi.
The four vultures were found dead on Tuesday near Kerunge stream of Kawasoti Municipality-3. Vulture Conservationist DB Chaudhary said, "A jackal was also found dead near the place where the vultures had perished. Post mortem report has confirmed the death of the vultures due to toxic intake."

The jackal might have died after consuming poisonous food and the vultures too died after they ate the carcass of the jackal.
Chaudhary further shared that earlier in February, five white-rumped vultures had died with similar reason, adding it was the responsibility of all to conserve the engendered species of vulture. Urging all bodies concerned to be serious for the conservation of endangered vultures, Chaudhary said poison used to kill jackals and the banned drugs to alleviate pain in livestock have posed serious challenges before vulture conservation.
