Four Nepali haj pilgrims die

Kathmandu, Sept 25: Three Nepali haj pilgrims died and one was injured in the stampede that took place near Mina in Mecca of Saudi Arabia on Thursday. Separately, another Nepali haj pilgrim died in his lodging, according to Nepali ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ananda Sharma.

The identities of the victims have yet to be determined, said Sharma.


The injured is being treated at a hospital and his condition is not serious, according to Sharma.

From Nepal, a total of 1,022 pilgrims had gone to Saudi Arabia for the annual pilgrimage this year.
