KAPILVASTU, Nov 24: Dipendra Kumar Chaudhary aka Raja Babu, the Independent candidate of the last year's provincial elections from Kapilvastu, was shot dead by the unidentified gunmen on Friday night, police said.
Critically injured Chaudhary was pronounced dead during the treatment at Universal Medical College. The gunmen shot him near his home at Motivari in Shuddodhan Municipality at 9 pm.

Police Inspector Santosh Pokhrel informed that they have arrested some people for their alleged involvement in the kill of Chaudhary.
