PM Oli calls for forging national consensus on foreign policy

KATHMANDU, June 29: Inaugurating the national dialogue on foreign policy organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday in the capital, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli emphasized that foreign policy advocated by different political parties should be consistent with the one pursued by the government.

KATHMANDU, June 29: Inaugurating the national dialogue on foreign policy organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday in the capital, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli emphasized that foreign policy advocated by different political parties should be consistent with the one pursued by the government.


He added that if all parties pursued the same foreign policy, Nepal’s relation with foreign countries reached a new height.

The government will not disregard the suggestions given by other political parties with regards to foreign policy, said Prime Minister Oli.


Prime Minister reiterated that Nepal's urgent need is foreign investment as opposed to loan and grant.


According to him, the government is trying to formulate a foreign policy that helps to create an environment conducive for foreign investment.
