Foreign Minister Paudyal leaving for Geneva to address UNHRC meeting

KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Foreign Minister Dr Bimala Rai Paudyal is leaving for Geneva today to participate in the meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC).

KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Foreign Minister Dr Bimala Rai Paudyal is leaving for Geneva today to participate in the meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC).


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a press conference at Singha Durbar on Sunday and said that Minister Paudyal is going to Geneva to attend the UNHRC meeting.

Foreign Minister Paudyal said that there is a program to address the achievements of Nepal in the field of human rights in the meeting. Nepal is a member state of the council. Minister Paudyal said that the meeting will be used as an opportunity to inform the international community about the progress made in this field as a member state and to further strengthen relations with other countries through multilateral and bilateral discussions.


Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sewa Lamsal said that Minister Paudyal will participate in the same meeting and participate in the conference of least developed countries to be held in Doha, Qatar.
