Foreign Affairs Minister meets Chinese counterpart in Beijing

KATHMANDU, March 18: Minister for Foreign Affairs Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, who is on an official visit to the People's Republic of China leading a Nepalese delegation, held bilateral talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi today in Beijing.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two foreign ministers reviewed the existing bilateral relations and exchanged views on wide ranging issues of mutual cooperation including the celebration of 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China. They also discussed about the forthcoming visit of President Dr Ram Baran Yadav to China.


Both sides agreed to further increase the exchanges of visits at high levels and people to people levels, reads a press statement by the Ministry.

The Chinese side assured that it would further enhance its assistance and cooperation to Nepal especially in the sector of agriculture, trade, connectivity, culture and tourism. RSS
