KATHMANDU, Dec 7: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has expressed its serious concern over the agreement reached among the three big political parties on economic policy to be incorporated in the new constitution.

The meeting of FNCCI´s executive committee held Tuesday concluded that the nation´s economic policy should be open, liberal and market-oriented. [brak]

It also demanded the parties to identify people´s right to run business and own property as the fundamental rights.

Criticizing the party for overlooking the public-private-partnership (PPP) model, FNCCI demanded the government to mention PPP model in the new constitution.

“As economic development is possible only with liberal and open-market economy, Constituent Assembly (CA) needs to incorporate similar policy in the new constitution,” FNCCI said.
