KATHMANDU, April 21: Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has expanded his team.
Dr Mahat has appointed three economic advisors in the Ministry of Finance. Former Vice President of National Planning Commission and Nepali Congress leader Dr Bishwa Paudel, economist Dr Poshraj Pandey and Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank Dr Gunakar Bhatta have been appointed as his advisors.

Economist Paudel was defeated in the election held in Chitwan. Poudel and Pandey have been appointed as honorary consultants.
Bhatta came to the Ministry of Finance in the role of consultant from Nepal Rastra Bank. He is the Head of the Bank and Financial Institutions Regulation Department of the central bank.
Mahat, who took over the leadership of the Ministry of Finance when the country's economy was deteriorating, has moved forward by forming a new team to prepare the budget for the next financial year.
