KATHMANDU, Oct 18: As many as five individuals have been killed while three others have sustained severe injuries in a road accident in Udayapur district on Saturday night.
An ill-fated Scorpio (BA 20 Cha 7171) met with an accident at Bhadauria of Katahari Municipality-14 last night at around 1 AM, according to the District Police Office, Udayapur. The car had plunged some 100 meters down the highway.
One killed, three injured in road accident
Of the five deceased, two have been identified as Ram Bahadur Sarki, 45, and Karna Sarki , 26, from Manebhanjyang-9 of Okhaldhunga district. Two other men and a woman who have lost their lives in the accident are yet to be identified.
The injured are currently undergoing treatments at Katahari Hospital. Pawan Khadka (driver), Kalpana Sarki and Kumari Maya Sarki have sustained severe injuries. The health condition of two of the injured is reported to be critical.
