Fire in hotel leads to explosions of five LPG cylinders

HETAUDA, Oct 28: Hetauda on Thursday reported an explosion of LPG cylinders following a fire that broke out in a hotel near the bus park at Hetauda Sub-metropolis-10.


According to the District Police Office, Makwanpur, the fire broke out all of a sudden and led to the explosions of five cooking gas cylinders subsequently.

The fire was taken under control with the help of two firefighters from the Hetauda Sub-metropolis after two hours of its eruption. 


Though it caused no human casualty, the hotel owner said they lost property worth around Rs two million to the inferno. The hotel was closed when the incident occurred. 


Police are collecting the loss details. The preliminary assessment of the police is that the fire was due to a short-circuit.
