The finale of ‘Deepak Moktan Guitar Competition 2018 /19’ will be held at 25 Hours, Tangalwood, Naxal on Saturday.
The finale will have 10 guitarists. Out of 10 finalists, eight are from Kathmandu and the remaining are from Chitwan and Biratnagar respectively.
Deepak Moktan organized the competition. Moktan is a former guitarist for the bands like String Nepal and Monkey Temple.
Prashanna Bhandari won the ‘Mantra Guitar Competition 2019’
The judges panel comprises Deepak Moktan, Binayak Shah and Sunny Tuladhar. Shah was a lead guitarist of the early 90’s band called ‘Crossroads’. Likewise, Tuladhar is a band member of ‘Atomic Bush’.
The prize pool includes musical instruments followed by a record deal; also the top three will get a media coverage and gift hampers.
