Nakim Uddin, chairman of QFX Cinemas, and Kishan Lal Shrestha, chairman of KL Tower, jointly inaugurated two screens of FCUBE Cinemas on Thursday.
The third screen will come into operation after three months, according to officials of KL Cinema City.[break]
Ganesh Dhungana, general manager of KL Tower, said the multiplex is equipped with the best of entertainment amenities. “Location, technology usage, ambience and well designed interiors are the part of cinema viewing experience at FCUBE Cinemas,” said Dhungana.
The FCUBE Cinemas is spread over three floors of the KL Tower.
“We will have combined seating capacity of 600 when all our three screens are opened. At present, we have capacity of 400 seats,” said Dhungana. “The audience can experience Dolby 3Ware digital sound system and digital 2K projection view at the multiplex.”
Though FCUBE offers the state of the art technology with the best amenities, the ticket price is very affordable compared to other multiplexes in the city.
FCUBE Cinemas has fixed ticket price at Rs 225 on weekdays and Rs 275 on weekends. For 3D movies, the multiplex will charge Rs 250 on weekdays and Rs 300 on weekends. Tickets for morning shows are available at Rs 150 for 2D movies and Rs 200 for 3D movies.
Meanwhile, Pavilion Food Court is starting operations at KL Tower from next week. The food court will be spread over 10,000 sq ft on the fifth floor of the tower. It will have 14 food stalls and 4 drinks stalls, including a bar.
