KATHMANDU, May 9: Nepali Congress MP Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has said that the US agency Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is also investigating the fake Bhutanese refugee scam.
Mentioning that the FBI is also looking into this case, she claimed that she had no involvement in it. "I was undergoing treatment in Japan when this was happening," she told Republica, "So I have no involvement in it."

Dr Deuba, who is also the wife of Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, expressed her belief that the investigation by Nepal Police and FBI will bring out the truth.
On Sunday, an audio tape was released in which Arzu Rana Deuba and former Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand's wife Manju are accused of receiving millions of rupees from the scam.
Sources have claimed that the audio tape has reached the Nepal Police team investigating the scam. In the audio tape, it is claimed that Rs 20 million was paid to Dr Deuba and Rs 60 million to Khand. The person who leaked the audio is said to be a member of the racket. It is said that the claimant is currently in police custody.
