Emcee Prashan Syangden said the teams were judged on the basis of their footwork, style, combo, power moves, music and overall choreography.

Briefing on the history of B Boying Syangden said, “The B in B Boys stands for ‘breaker’ that originated from Southern Bronx of America in the 1970s. However, it has become a worldwide phenomenon now with South Korea as the number one place for B Boying.”
Inaugurating the competition, Patricia Mahoney, acting ambassador of the US Embassy, said, “Youths all over the world use B Boying as a way to express their ideas about society and culture.”
