Speaking at an interaction organized by the Pupils and Development, an NGO, on Sunday, the participants underscored the need for remembering contributions delivered by youths during the people´s moment while writing a new constitution.
It has been stressed that a new statute should guarantee right to education as a fundamental right, ensure participation of youths in policy making and implementation level, guarantee employment for youths, give priority to youths from backwards committee and to not prevent youths from becoming a president or members of constitutional bodies just on the basis of age.
Lawmaker Dama Sharma and Khuma Subedi said new constitution draft reports could be changed and made youth-friendly by exerting pressure on the authorities concerned.
According to Chairman of the organizing body Suraj Kagle, a report will be prepared by compiling suggestions furnished at the programme and its copies handed over to all lawmakers.
